Mujović opened three more roads worth almost 450,000 euros: the small sports stadium finally got full functionality
The mayor of Podgorica, Saša Mujović, opened three new roads, the total value of which is close to 450,000 euros, which finally gave the Small Sports Stadium full functionality. This investment represents a significant step towards solving long-standing infrastructure problems that have affected this sports complex.
Construction of roads and infrastructure
Work on the construction of the access road to the Small Sports Stadium began on November 28, 2025. Mujović pointed out that the project is essential for enabling the full use of the stadium, which until now had problems with access and infrastructure. The total value of the works on the roads is 190,000 euros, and the estimated deadline for completion is January 2026.
In addition to the access road, Mujović also emphasized the importance of the construction of fecal and atmospheric sewage, which is crucial for the full functionality of the facility. This infrastructure will allow the Small Sports Stadium to fully come to life, and the mayor pointed out that during the works, the trees in the immediate vicinity will be preserved, in order to preserve the natural environment.
License issues
Although 520,000 euros were invested in the Small Sports Stadium, the facility currently does not have a use permit. The Director of Sports Facilities, Aleksandar Vučković, stated that the main problem is the lack of connection to the water and sewage network. This problem has prevented the complete valorization of the building until now, and the opening of new roads and the construction of sewerage should solve this challenge.
Priorities in infrastructure development
During 2025, Mujović pointed out that in 2026, citizens will see concrete results of the budget through investments in traffic infrastructure, arrangement of public spaces and improvement of sports facilities.
