The Police Administration of Montenegro carried out an action to control catering establishments and betting shops in the south of the country. During the operation, a wanted person was found, and marijuana, cocaine and a knife were seized.
During the previous evening, the Police Administration of Montenegro carried out increased activities in the south of the country, aimed at controlling catering establishments and betting shops. These activities included 34 establishments, including 17 catering establishments, 12 casinos and five betting shops.
During the operation, 585 persons were controlled, one of whom was found on the basis of a warrant. Also, eight people were found in illegal residence, which indicates the presence of illegal migration in that area.
The police pointed out that measures were taken in order to improve security and suppress criminal activities. These actions are part of a broader police plan to strengthen public order and peace, as well as to reduce crime in the region.
As part of the action, 545 vehicles were controlled, and 446 drivers were breathalyzed. The police sanctioned a total of 311 people, while ten people were arrested for various violations, including driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.
During the control, drugs were confiscated from two people, including 5.3 grams of marijuana and 0.8 grams of cocaine. In addition to the drugs, the police confiscated a knife and seven pairs of license plates, which further indicates the seriousness of the security situation in the area.
